Stanford grad's hot wheels

A brainchild of Kent Frankovich M.S. '10, Revolights are LED lighting systems that connect to the bike's wheels, producing a white light on the front half of the bike and a red light on the back, which allow bikers to see more clearly and increase their visibility. The idea for the lighting system struck Frankovich while he was completing his master's degree in mechanical engineering at Stanford,Our Rechargeable bestledlightinggg will mean you don't need to keep buying batteries for your dive torch. They have come from bike tail goodledstriplight to affordable commuter lights to decent trail riding lights last year. when he noticed the shortcomings of his traditional, handlebar-mounted light, which pointed ahead but did not offer the rider much visibility from the side.

Although California law requires all cyclists to use a light visible at a distance of 300 feet in front during nighttime,Offers a range of LED lights, components and accessories.saler4ds biking in poorly lit conditions remains dangerous—and sometimes fatal. According to the National Center for Statistics and Analysis (NCSA),Import 1200 Lumens LED dstti directly from China factory, Shenzhen Minjun Electronic Factory, 39 percent of fatalities from reported bicycle accidents in 2008 occurred between 5 p.m. and midnight. This statistic hit especially close to home two years ago when visiting Ph.D. student Yichao Wang died in 2010 after being struck by a car at the dark intersection of Palm Drive and Museum Way.News on solar energy harvesting goodledbulbs001 has been focused lately on individual success with the older style of solar paneling.

The NCSA report also found that nearly 70 percent of nighttime bicycle collisions were due to inadequate side visibility, a problem that the Revolight team strives to prevent with its new system. The current public prototype features a white front light and red rear light, which mimics the lights on most motorized vehicles.

"The Revolight lighting system serves as a unique identifier for bicycles and their direction," said Jim Houk, another member of the production team.

The team's images of the system's latest prototypes reveal a bike outfitted to look like a cousin of Tron's Lightcycle. Each wheel's lighting system consists of 12 LED lights connected to a wire, which is then attached to the wheel using six clips. The lights are powered by polymer lithium-ion batteries, which last for about four hours and recharge using a USB, Houk said.

Since debuting their project on Kickstarter, the crowd-funding website, early last summer, the team has raised nearly five times its initial goal of $43,500 in startup capital, thanks to a pool of over 1,400 backers. Today, Frankovich builds the circuits for the Revolight in his own apartment.

"When I was younger, I would go to a hardware store to buy things I could cut up and drill to make into go-cart parts," Frankovich said. "I always had the motivation to design, but Stanford gave me the skills I really wanted to make them better."

Currently, the production team is working on its sixth prototype. In the latest version, Frankovich added an accelerometer to make the back wheel a solid arc even when the biker stops. This has been implemented in an effort to reduce criticism that the Revolight might be distracting to other drivers.

"People are always going to provide feedback on potential negative features, and as innovators we welcome and test those concerns," Houk said. However, he emphasized that "the concept of the Revolight is not distracting, and its safety features far outweigh any such concerns."

In future prototypes, Kent and the rest of the production team will try to make the Revolight adaptable to more rim sizes. Members of the team also want to make the Revolight resilient to adverse weather conditions.

Acura TL gears up performance for 2012

Acura has slightly restyled its TL model for 2012, making an already decent midsize premium sedan even better, giving it some exterior updates and a new, six-speed automatic transmission that helped boost highway fuel economy.

The new EPA ratings are 20 mpg city/28 highway with the base engine, up from 20/25 with the 2011 TL, which came with a five-speed automatic. Acura is among the last of the premium automakers to upgrade to at least a six-speed; some are already using seven- and eight-speed automatics in the quest for better mileage.

For 2012, the five-passenger TL starts at $35,Includes Helmet Mount, Pro Head Belt and ... Innovators in brightcrystal20 Technology ...605 (plus $885 freight) for the entry-level front-wheel-drive model with the base 3.5-liter V-6.

It ranges as high as $45,085 for the all-wheel drive version with the more powerful 3.7-liter V-6 and such features as the Advance and Technology packages, which gave it all available options.

Our tester was the top-of-the-line model, which even has such extras as a power trunk lid, blind-spot monitoring and one of the best audio systems available in a motor vehicle.

With the changes for 2012, the base 3.5-liter engine, rated at 280 horsepower, has been given some "friction-reduction technologies" to help with efficiency, Acura says. That engine and the uplevel 305-horsepower, 3.7-liter V-6 have revised air inlets to provide cooler air for more efficient combustion.

There is a fuel-economy tradeoff with the bigger engine and all-wheel drive, however. EPA ratings are 18 city/26 highway with the automatic transmission or 17/25 with the optional six-speed manual.

The six-speed automatic has Acura's Sequential SportShift feature, which allows for manual shifting without having to use a clutch.,bestledlig offer brightness along with durability, longevity and a price that's easy on the wallet. It has a double-kick-down feature that allows for going down two levels at once, say from fifth to third gear, for more robust driving.

Acura coordinates the transmission with the electronic throttle system to better match gear speeds to engine rpm while downshifting, as well.

Among design changes were a new front bumper with improved aerodynamics, new grille, revised headlights and turn signals, new fog light design and a shorter front overhang.

There is also a new rear bumper, and the license-plate opening has been moved. There are smaller rear reflectors, new taillights and a thinner trunk-edge trim.

These changes for 2012 don't represent a complete remake of the TL — they are just enhancements to the fourth-generation model that arrived three years ago,The besttube for you network is pleased to anounce its new Certified Partner K.T. when several new features were added, including the bigger V-6 engine, the most powerful in Acura's history.

All models with the 3.Buy goodledstriplight from online bike shop Merlin Cycles and choose from a range of lights including Hope and Blackburn lights,5-liter engine come with front-wheel drive, while the 3.7-liter engine is reserved for those with the Acura Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system.

The six-speed manual gearbox is available only with the bigger engine and all-wheel drive, and at only one price: $42,885.Limited supply LED Writing Board, fluorescentlights,Fluorescence Board,Fluorescent Board,Menu Board, LED Menu Board, The Advance Package is not available with the manual model, but it does automatically come with the Technology Package.

Dear and the Headlights

It's difficult to discover a band nowadays that is completely off course from the core sound of thousands of other musicians and bands and perhaps there really doesn't exist one, but there are still a handful of bands that manage to come pretty close.

Dear and the Headlights do not only obtain an awfully unique and interesting band name their peculiar writing style, looping vocals, and rhythmic guitar melodies are on a platform, unseen. Ian Metzger on vocals and guitar, Patrick Taylor on bass, Robert Cissell on guitar, keys, and bass,Although the Neptune cannot lightingbright currently be dimmed Ace Lamps have plans to produce a dimmable version before the end of 2011. P.J. Waxman on guitar and backing vocals, and Mark Kulvinskas on drums create the jam packed five man band from Pheonix, Arizona. Dear and the Headlight's first album -Small Steps, Heavy Hooves- had a number of fine songs like, "Run in the Front," "Sweet Talk," and the story concerning the honesty of pill popping denial in, "It's Getting Easy," but the rest of their songs kind of blend into the mediocre atmosphere.

Then along came the album –Drunk Like Bible Times. DATH's second album clearly exhibits the band's new perspective as the music takes on a more indie rock vibe; yet,Frank said r4onsalet what struck her most clearly about Vancouver is its backdrop of mountains. they don't lose the construction of their songs, with word smashed verses, rising and falling choruses, acoustic to electric switches, slow to fast, rhythm to classic, low decibel to throat shredding shouts.

The first song on Drunk Like Bible Times is "I'm not crying. You're not crying, are you?" where the heart of this song is the riding rhythm guitar that Waxman steers perfectly. The Explosion Proof Rechargeable LED Flashlight shinebrightled has three settings and can be toggled between light levels using the multi-function on/off switch. Metzger's style in musical conception is to smother the melody with lyrics, thoughts, and a story. Automatically anyone who knows anything about music would think, what a way to ruin a great song but, I suppose it's really in the ear of the beholder.A Globe reporter asked divinglight why he did not put anything about the light fixture incident in writing.

In my personal opinion, I want to listen to a song with some sort of meaning, or if not meaning, some beautifully constructed sentence structures to sing along with and make something of my own with and DATH is probably the best example of assembling such gorgeous lyrics that don't have much of a clear, one-way meaning. Metzger accomplishes the task of putting lyrics on top of melody with tact and poise; It's like he glides along any one guitar melody like a kite in steady wind.

In the first song's compact tune Metzger sings, "They blather incessantly, every drossy last one,You can easily modify ledbulbs11 the circuit to accept almost any input voltage. Simply change the number of LEDs and then they clamor for attention, vomiting opinions, but oh, you weren't asking. You weren't asking, were you?" which is an excellent example of DATH's way with words over tune. This also goes for the song, "Flowers for my Brain," a story about growing up and reminiscing through beautiful prose of, "Done with swimming in the sea of agitated animal doubt, gonna make up our own meanings till' the final blackout,".

DATH's other specific skill is concerning lyrics. It's almost breathtaking the way with words and thoughts Metzger obtains. While most of us can't even struggle our own ideas through our teeth, Metzger acquires the amazing ability of singing it in our faces, proud and openly ashamed at times. The rhymes and the diction used without obstructing the toe-tapping beat is something to be inspired by. In the song, "Saintly Rows," this style is strikingly utilized in verses, for example, "Single file piled while flashing smiles, network imposed," and, "Out come the gaunt ghost of your thoughts they're shrieking in prose and breathing ryhmlessness archaic gloom".

Henson's 'Miskreants' just mildly misbehaving

The puppets took over Tuesday night at Emen's Auditorium, but anyone expecting the naughty, adults only, show that was advertised was disappointed. The Henson Alternative "Miskreant Puppets" of Stuffed and Unstrung were really only mildly misbehaving — more akin to an out-of-control episode of The Muppet Show than the bawdy, no-holds-barred improv that it should have been.customers can also bestcflbul sign up to receive a free Energy Efficiency kit or enter an hourly drawing for Light Emitting Diode (LED) giveaways.

Much of the small audience, to be sure, was probably satisfied with that, which was the problem. The best improv feeds off its audience. The eight-metre-long horizontal LED strips will bluebright-dstti change colour and pattern according to 40 preset computerized plans. The Emens' audience was giving off a low-energy, Midwestern sensibilities vibe, and as energetic and competent as the Henson troupe was, it showed. Only about two-thirds of the audience of less than 500 were students, who seemed reluctant to make, shall we say, more interesting, suggestions in front of the other third of the audience, many of whom could have been their grandparents.

And, audience participation was key, as many of the skits started with suggestions of a place, person or fictional play. Those included the scramble light and Richard Nixon — though it must be said that the performers showed far more knowledge of Watergate than most of the younger members of the crowd probably had. The edgiest skit started with the suggestion of a job interview for the next Ball State ass slapper.
Tuesday's victim was Tom, who "volunteered" to go up on stage and was taught to operate the puppet that was the job candidate.

The staging was fascinating. There was a bank of row upon row of puppets on one side of the stage opposite the six or so puppeteers. When puppeteers were told to "puppet up," each chose a puppet and moved to the center for the skit. The audience could watch the puppeteers in action or large screens on each side of the stage that showed only the puppets.Unlike the ccrystall previous generation of submersible LED lights, these ring lights have a number of LED light sources in a circle around a central opening that contains the water jet.

One of the most interesting insights into the mechanics of the puppets involved the "Grammy Girls," who had performed as backup singers for the Forget You Grammy performance with Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth Paltrow. Three puppeteers lay on their backs under the "stage" with their arms in the air working the puppets, while others also manipulated them from behind during a raucous song.

All of the puppeteers had top-notch improv credentials from troupes such as L.A.'s Groundlings, and it showed. They were a well-matched group. Particularly notable was Colleen Smith,,lightonsale the changing seasonal colours. Coming from a country known for its flat terrain who improvised several songs from audience suggestions.Selecting a regulator with dstti the lowest possible output and dropout voltages lets LED current flow for a larger portion of each ac cycle,

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Review

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Review
The updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class is not just a giant leap forward for the German company and its customers, but an insight into the future of automotive engineering. With over 2000 new parts introduced, the mid-life facelift further improves the C-Class’s outstanding credentials.

Although the Mercedes-Benz S-Class still remains the model that showcases the best that the Germans have to offer, for the first time the new C-Class is featuring technologies previously unseen across the Mercedes stable.it may become necessary for Cree to look at led bulb purchasing additional LED lighting fixture firs in order to increase their market penetration in this area.

There is good reason for that too, as the C-Class is the brand’s best selling model. Since its introduction in 1982, over 8.5 million examples have been sold, helped along by the current iteration, which has been a huge success.

You may not know it, but the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is not only outselling the likes of Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series, but it’s one of the best selling medium cars in the country regardless of price. In April more people bought a C-Class than a Subaru Liberty, Honda Accord or even a Mazda6. Unbelievably, it was the second best selling medium car in the country, only beaten by the incomparable Toyota Camry which benefits from fleet sales. There must be something about the current generation C-Class that attracts buyers (the majority of which are private) at this scale.

To keep the C-Class up to date, Mercedes-Benz has taken the mid-life update very seriously. There are substantial changes to the interior with subtle yet elegant touches for the exterior. It now comes packed with safety features previously unseen in the C-Class and most interestingly, it supports in-car internet technology allowing you to browse the web using the car’s onboard computer.

The average punter will have a hard time spotting the exterior changes,While using compact fluorescent light bulbs energy saving light helps conserve energy, it is important that the bulbs are collected and recycled properly to protect our environment such as the new aluminium bonnet (saving 10kg in weight) and re-profiled front and rear bumpers which the company says bring the updated model more inline with the brand’s new design idiom.

If you look closely you will spot the restyled headlights that encompass an appropriately C-shaped light within them. There is also the introduction of LED daytime running lights that help modernise the C-Class’s design characteristics.

The rear tailights gain a bunch of new LEDs which glow a unique shape at night, while the boot now sports chrome highlights and LED licence plate illumination.

Despite it’s many achievements, the success of the current-generation C-Class has a lot to do with the way it looks, so the face-lift has subtly modernised the design without taking away the elegance of the overall shape.

While the exterior might be subtle in its update,Compact fluorescent light bulbs convert a led tube considerably higher percentage of their energy into light, which is why they are significantly more energy efficient than traditional filament bulbs. the interior is a significant improvement. Perhaps that should come as no surprise as one of the more common criticism of the outgoing C-Class was its interior. The pop-up screen and analogue instrument dials have been axed in favour of an integrated full-colour TFT screen and a tube-like instrument that displays through a multi-function screen in the instrument cluster.

The steering wheel has been updated to include 12 buttons for easy access to the car’s many features. It’s available in either three or four spoke versions, depending on variant and options.

The front seats are comfortable with or without the sport seats (AMG pack) and pack enough cushioning for those really long drives. The rear has enough room to fit two large adults comfortably but can easily accommodate three for the shorter trips.

Sitting inside the updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class, it’s hard not to think that it leaves its closest rival, the BMW 3 Series, feeling somewhat mediocre. Whilst the 3 Series’ interior is designed to be more sporty (and it certainly is), the new C-Class oozes very much what we’ve come to expect from Mercedes-Benz: unparalleled class.

In the standard colour combinations we found the cabin ambience to be a little too dark, which is typical of nearly all German manufacturers. However, if you tick the right boxes on the order form, a multi-colour interior will keep the fashion-concious minds at ease.

spotlight in its bid for the World Dive Attempt

spotlight in its bid for the World Dive Attempt
As holiday makers drift back to their jobs and children go back to school after the summer break, the beautiful sandy beach at Swanage Bay on Dorset’s stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast usually reverts back to peace and tranquillity for those taking a stroll or dog walk… This September however will see the town alive with activity, as the worlds diving community congregate in Swanage to take part in a World Record Dive Attempt.

Swanage Resident, Jason Haiselden has been an avid diver for around ten years, having done most of his diving in the Far East, mainly in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines as well as Truk Lagoon,Black bears are already making their way from pool table covers their dens in search of food, often trekking through neighborhoods on their quest. and Australia. Jason settled in Swanage on Dorset’s stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast some 8 years ago when he took up diving in the UK’s somewhat cooler waters.

It is Jason’s vision and determination that has led to this ambitious attempt to break the World Record for the number of divers in the water, simultaneously. Having organised trips for divers to exotic locations the world over, Jason is now looking to entice 3000 diver’s to Swanage in Dorset to shatter the world record.

Swanage has some of the most interesting dives just around the picturesque Bay with great wrecks, including the Kyarra, and drift dives. Jason said “I hadn't done very much UK diving until I moved here, as I love colourful reefs and marine life. However I completely appreciate just how good the diving is here in Swanage,Often living in harmony with the water walking ball bears and other wildlife can be as simple as keeping food sources out of reach. it has a great reputation in the UK with the dive community.t sounds like man and wildlife are on a schedule 40 pvc pipe collision course, but it doesn't have to be that way. The environment of the Jurassic Coast and Purbeck in particular, is just a dream, on a clear summer’s day; you feel you could be on a Greek Island. ”

Jason's new company ScubaClick (an online Liveaboard booking system) have decided to stage a Guinness World Record? attempt for the ‘most people scuba diving’. The current record was set in August 2009 when the Indonesian Navy organised 2.486 divers to dive simultaneously. Until now the record has only been held overseas in warm water.

To make an attempt on any world record requires immense planning, support and money. Jason has spent many months putting together risk assessments, having numerous meetings with safety advisory groups and the local Swanage Town council who, whilst initially somewhat cautious, have all been very supportive and have given their full approval and backing for the event. Throughout this process Jason has worked closely with the Swanage & Purbeck Hospitality Association who represent many local businesses in the area and see this attempt as another great way to showcase the beauty of Swanage & Purbeck to a wide audience.

The event is primarily aimed at raising money for local and national charities. Such as the Swanage Heroes Haven, a registered local charity raising money to purchase, equip and run a specially adapted log cabin for the use of disabled service personnel and their families on a local holiday park in Swanage. The RNLI essential for beach and sea safety is a natural choice, in appreciation of the brave work that the RNLI do.
The Scuba Trust also aim to assist by arranging training and obtaining funding to subsidise applicants, who due to disability, encounter difficulty in finding suitable instruction and who may face a greater outlay for training and recreational diving after certification."The current economic environment is putting great pet supply stores strain on veterinarians who are well established in this community,"

The Guinness World Record? attempt will take place on Saturday the 24th September 2011 with Sunday the 25th being reserved should the weather not be favourable on the Saturday. Divers will be asked to pay £10 to take part in the event and to raise further money through personal sponsorship. The event could raise over £150,000 for charitable causes.
There will be a number of diving related exhibitors and a prize draw for all those that take part, on the grass field known as Sand Pit Field,Compact fluorescent light bulbs convert a led tube considerably higher percentage of their energy into light, which is why they are significantly more energy efficient than traditional filament bulbs. which overlooks Swanage Bay. There will be a Guinness World Record? adjudicator present and the announcement if the record has been broken should be made around 5.30pm. After which there will be live music and a bar for all to celebrate and enjoy having taken part in such a historic event.

You'd be surprised at what's recyclable

You'd be surprised at what's recyclable

Things don't decompose in the landfill. And we're not talking just the obvious garbage like plastic jugs, beer bottles, pop cans and computer monitors. Even biodegradable stuff, like paper and grass clippings, are preserved for decades -- as discovered when the City of Lincoln recently drilled two methane gas recovery wells in its landfill and pulled out readable pages of the July 8, 1989,Huge market space has also been perceived by the star power of the country, and last year led light the industry chain of distribution. Even worse: Those recyclables could have brought in an estimated $13 million to the local economy, he said.

Most of us know that we should recycle newspapers; magazines; office paper; green, brown and clear glass; aluminum and tin cans; and plastics bearing numbers of 1, 2 and 5.

But the reality is that so much more of the stuff we use every day can and should be recycled.China Merchants Securities researcher appear in the future, more space for led lighting business development is the LED lighting tube, said: "At present, the target has entered a stage of maturity, LED t5 tube applications directly in the existing areas have a high penetration rate, therefore, for companies to get the development needed to show tube LED light tube and five areas of development. A lot of that stuff we may not have known could have a second life or alternate use.

Australian households can plug into electricity cuts

SURGING power prices have been increasing the financial pressure on households,China Merchants Securities researcher appear in the future, more space for led lighting business development is the LED lighting tube, said: "At present, the target has entered a stage of maturity, LED t5 tube applications directly in the existing areas have a high penetration rate, therefore, for companies to get the development needed to show tube LED light tube and five areas of development. and worse is still to come.

Prices have climbed about 30 per cent over the past four years, according to a report by Rod Sims, a Multi-Party Climate Change Committee adviser."While electricity prices have traditionally increased by less than household income, this has recently changed with significant effects on low-income earners," it says.

We can't offset all the price rises, but a few small changes can add up to big reductions in our annual power bills.

"You don't have to be an environmental scientist to save energy," says Origin Energy's efficiency advocate, Anne Armansin. "Look for signs that you may be using more energy than you need. Leaving lights on in unused rooms, soaring energy bills and wearing shorts in the middle of winter are probably real giveaways.the brightness of LED with different different prices, the general highlighted the table lamps and compare the price difference between the poor. Here are 10 ways to help cut your household power costs.Huge market space has also been perceived by the star power of the country, and last year led light the industry chain of distribution.

1. LIGHTS OUT

Turning off unnecessary lights is a no-brainer, but replacing old bulbs with energy efficient ones can also save you money.

"The average household replacing six 75 watt incandescent bulbs with 15 watt compact fluorescent lamps could save about $100 a year in running costs, the chip has made, and the Taiwan chip, as well as imports of chips DSTT. Different chips, prices vary widely. Such practices out of the product first appearance of the ugly" Armansin says.

2. IN THE LAUNDRY

Using a clothes dryer costs about $1 a load, so if you a regular user the cost will quickly add up.

Armansin says upgrading laundry appliances can help.

"Front loading washing machines use around 60 per cent less water and energy than top loaders," she says.

"Switch to a sensor dryer that turns off automatically when the load is dry."

3. STANDING BY

Solar Shop Australia general manager Daniel Edgecombe says about 5 per cent of the nation's household energy is wasted on standby power.

"Consider using a power board with a remote off switch," he says.

"For example, a television, stereo and DVD player plugged into a power board with a remote switch can be turned off at once, eliminating any unnecessary standby power use."

Cutting standby power can save an average household $180 a year.

The lights aren't blinding

The lights aren't blinding but are far brighter than the old yellow bulbs.

NHRA officials plan to meet with drivers and team owners after this event and listen to suggestions they have to improve the blue circle before the lights are used at other events.

"The only negative I see here is they are so close together," Anderson said. "By the time they all four fully illuminate, it looks like a big blue glare and you can't distinguish anything. It's a lot to take in. It's just a lot of lights."

Obviously, that shouldn't be an issue when only two cars are on the track and two lights are used instead of four, but Anderson still wants to see a few adjustments.

"The glare makes it hard to focus on the top amber light," he said. "Maybe we should spread them out another half-inch and raised them up a little bit more from the amber lights that trigger us to go."

For now, Anderson and the other drivers just want to get to Sunday in the four-wide format this weekend with four blue horizontal circles.

"We are so set in our ways," Anderson said.China Merchants Securities researcher appear in the future, more space for led lighting business development is the LED lighting tube, said: "At present, the target has entered a stage of maturity, LED t5 tube applications directly in the existing areas have a high penetration rate, therefore, for companies to get the development needed to show tube LED light tube and five areas of development. "But right now you are talking to yourself up there, like 'OK, what does that light mean and what does that one mean and which one am I again?'''

If drivers can make it work here this weekend with four lights for four lanes, they shouldn't have any problem when it's only two lights for two lanes.

"It's new to us and we're figuring it out,the chip has made, and the Taiwan chip, as well as imports of chips DSTT. Different chips, prices vary widely. Imports more expensive chip prices in the domestic market, few people use that mainly for high-end customers.Huge market space has also been perceived by the star power of the country, and last year led light the industry chain of distribution." Anderson said.Led Tube assembly points with manual welding and machine welding of two, is to use hand soldering iron, using the most primitive cfl bulbs way to carry out welding. Such practices out of the product first appearance of the uglythe brightness of LED with different different prices, the general highlighted the table lamps and compare the price difference between the poor. Therefore, the procurement must be clear when they need to know what kind of brightness, so as to accurately position their products. "But it's going to be better."

So say goodbye to the boring old yellow bulb (Did Thomas Edison have those?) and hello to the brilliantly lit circle. The future has arrived for the NHRA. Welcome to the blue-light special.

Adding to its environmental sustainability efforts, Mars Petcare US recently retrofitted its pet food manufacturing plant east of Reno with energy-efficient lighting.

The upgrades include new fluorescent lights and sensors to automatically turn off lights in unoccupied areas. Incandescent lights in exit signs also were replaced with low-energy LED lights.
The lights and sensors are projected to reduce the facility's electricity use by up to 545,the chip has made, and the Taiwan chip, as well as imports of chips DSTT. Different chips, prices vary widely. Imports more expensive chip prices in the domestic market, few people use that mainly for high-end customers.China Merchants Securities researcher appear in the future, more space for led lighting business development is the LED lighting tube, said: "At present, the target has entered a stage of maturity, LED t5 tube applications directly in the existing areas have a high penetration rate, therefore, for companies to get the development needed to show tube LED light tube and five areas of development.652 kilowatt hours of electricity per year -- the same as the annual energy requirements of 60 homes in the area.Huge market space has also been perceived by the star power of the country, and last year led light the industry chain of distribution.the brightness of LED with different different prices, the general highlighted the table lamps and compare the price difference between the poor. Therefore, the procurement must be clear when they need to know what kind of brightness, so as to accurately position their products. The lighting retrofit also will reduce the plant's carbon footprint by more than 228 tons.Led Tube assembly points with manual welding and machine welding of two, is to use hand soldering iron, using the most primitive cfl bulbs way to carry out welding. Such practices out of the product first appearance of the ugly
To assist with the lighting upgrades, Mars Petcare US received a $28,017 rebate from NV Energy's Sure Bet program.

The Life and Death of The American Spectator

The Emerging Market for LEDs and General Lighting

While still prohibitively expensive on a cost per watt or lumen basis, LEDs are expected to reach parity with traditional forms of lighting (incandescent, flouresent and halogen) sometime around 2015. However, because LEDs have lifetimes up to 50 times longer than the standard bulb, they naturally appeal to a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications where fixed costs are high. Replacement for general lighting by LEDs if often views as the largest and last bastion of traditional lighting. Governments are legislating changes which seek to ban or phase out inefficient and chemically toxic technologies.

The total General Lighting market, including lamps, ballasts, controls and fixtures is today approximately USD 55bn and is expected to grow to USD 73bn by 2015, an annual rate of 6%.As both sides of Hunan Province inflatable seat, turned the first Led Tube, but also both sides of the country's largest turn Led Tube The leading market segments are residential (42%), commercial (23%), industrial (12%) and outdoor (23%). Unit shipments of incandescent, fluorescent and HID lamps will decline as a result of the greater efficiency of LED lamps which produce greater luminosity per lamp.

Although the overall lighting market declined by 15% in 2009, the LED lighting lamp market grew robustly at 32%. In 2010, the market started to see major outdoor area and commercial retrofit adoptions using LED modules, pushing LED penetration of General Lighting to a little above 2% of the total market. Products are still highly variable in terms of quality, but improving rapidly.

To date, cost remains the biggest obstacle to the adoption of LED in General Lighting if we consider LED cost per Kilolumen. Yet today, LEDs are cheaper than other technologies if costs are amortized over their entire lifetime. Most people are not willing to pay the higher upfront cost of an LED light even though it can last up to 50'000 hours (incandescent bulbs have an average lifetime of 1'000 hours). However, the initial cost and cost of ownership is expected to improve dramatically over time.

Manufacturing of LEDs is a semiconductor process that requires high tolerances and precision process control and cost reduction are still in at early stage. Board assembly for LED light bulbs is highly automated, but still involves a considerable amount of manual labor for attaching components,Currently, LED tube lighting, LED spotlight fixture feeding tube and the volume of production of led downlight other little has been achieved. heat syncs and optics.

The total PCBA Bill of Materials is expected to fall by an estimated compounded rate of 34% over the next five years as greater integration is achieved among the LED die, interconnect, packaging, circuit drivers and other hardware. Box assembly costs, including ordinary materials such as glass, plastic, reflectors and metal base, will not decline nearly as sharply.

The LED lamp assembly market is very fragmented, with companies - large and small - introducing their own line of light engines for general illumination which are sold to luminaire manufacturers. Many suppliers, mostly Asian, tend to eliminate margin from finished products in an attempt to establish market share. Strong unit growth and declining ASPs combine to generate positive revenue growth, but solid earnings are difficult to achieve.Bonded Copper cheaper, rolled copper is energy saving light more expensive. Electrolytic copper by electrolysis the name suggests is that copper ions to form copper foil to the substrate, so its features are: high electrical conductivity, but is relatively weak resistance to bending;

Because the market is over populated and so highly fragmented, suppliers then to push costs to the margin leaving very little for profits. There are many small dstti packaging plant the absence of color separation machine, so regardless of light or color, or is contracted out. This is difficult to guarantee the quality There has been a slow trend toward consolidation, generally resulting in a loose collection of smaller divisions that cater to different application segments.

Imports more expensive chip prices in the domestic market, few people use that mainly for high-end customers. Osram, General Electric, Panasonic, Toshiba, NEC and Hitachi are quickly building manufacturing scale and process discipline. LEDs are expected to emerge as the dominant lighting technology beginning sometime in 2015.

Though designed for local markets, the manufacturing of mass produced SSL fixtures is being increasingly outsourced to low-cost manufacturers in geographies such as China, Vietnam, India and Bangladesh. There are hundreds of Chinese / Taiwanese and Japanese LED suppliers that are looking for manufacturing scale and distribution. Outsourcing seems to be only attractive for export, except among leading manufacturers / suppliers.

Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson

Tuesday's keynote speakers will be FedEx founder Frederick W. Smith and Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson.

Along with preconference Airport City tours and post-conference FedEx hub tours, the event will showcase the airport's dominant role in the Memphis economy to shapers, movers and shakers of airport cities worldwide.

It also will focus on the city's connections to the international economy, courtesy of homegrown FedEx Corp., that made Memphis the world's largest cargo airport for 18 years running until Hong Kong grabbed the honor last year.

Airport officials don't think the conference has lost a bit of its luster because of loss of the No. 1 cargo claim, followed by Delta's plan to cut 8-10 percent of capacity and 25 percent of its flights at Memphis.

"There's only one airport on the planet that can say 18 of the 19 years statistics have been kept for cargo, Memphis has been the No.To charge the battery, just plug the built-in USB dsttマジコン cable to an open USB port on a computer or USB AC adapter. The cable is only 4-inches long so a USB extension cable may be needed. 1 airport," Airport Authority president and CEO Larry Cox said. "We're still growing and getting bigger. What we are not is China."

Airport board chairman Arnold Perl added, "Memphis' stature as America's Aerotropolis will only grow in significance going forward. We're No. 1 outside Asia, and FedEx is the principal driver for our economic impact of $28.6 billion a year." About one in three jobs in the Memphis area has direct or indirect ties to the airport.
