The sweet and spicy aroma of gingerbread fills the air as carollers
wander down Main Street and snowflakes drift down in front of a fairy
tale castle covered in icicles. By mid-November, Disneyland and Disney
World are transformed into a holiday wonderland.
Disney hotels
also get in on the action with special displays and activities. As our
family wandered into Disney’s Beach Club Resort in Orlando, Florida
recently, we sensed the unmistakable aroma of freshly baked gingerbread
wafting through the massive lobby. While we watched, a crack team of
pastry chefs assembled a giant edible carousel using 45 kg of icing, 45
kg of confectioner sugar, 44 kg of bread flour, 23 kg of dark
chocolate, and 16 kg of honey. Just seeing this spectacular edible
carousel conjured images of childhood fantasies, but smelling it took
the experience to a whole new level.
There are few places on
the planet that can compete with Disney when it comes to holiday
decorating. In Walt Disney World alone there will be more than 1,500
Christmas trees, 3,000 wreaths, 18 km of garland and thousands of
lights on display this Christmas. The Disneyland resorts in California
will be equally decked out for the holiday season and special shows,
parties and displays are planned for all Disney theme parks and hotels.
“Planning for the holiday season begins a year in advance,” says Jennifer Bellman,Leading Online Resource for your gardenlighting

lights that look like icicles, Mickey and Minnie will be performing on
ice skates during the holiday parade, the dolls in It’s a Small World
will be in Christmas Costumes, and Santa will be at the park every
day.”
In addition to the over-the-top decorations and shows,Round cotton carledbulbser

choirs, orchestras and celebrity narrators will come together in a
candlelight procession to tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ —
one of the most popular shows in the park.
“It takes a
talented and creative team to bring it all together,” Bellman says.
“But the holidays are one of the most magical times to experience
Disney. We even guarantee that it will snow every night and that’s not
easy to achieve in California.”
Travel before Christmas: You
can take in the Holiday decorations, parades, shows and festivities and
avoid the crowds by visiting in late November or early December. By US
Thanksgiving,Laser Cut Studio is a brand new crystal_4
company and new way of thinking. the holiday decorations and parades
are already in full swing, but the crowds have not yet arrived and this
is a great time to visit if you can.
Go early: Getting to the
park early always helps you to beat the crowds, but it is particularly
important if you are travelling during the peak holiday season. Be at
the park gates 15 minutes prior to the posted opening time. Parades and
shows also fill up early during the holidays and you need to get in
line well before the scheduled start time in order to get a good seat.
Have
a Plan: Make a list of the rides and attractions you are most
interested in seeing. Strategically plan your day by visiting the most
popular rides first.
Use Fastpass: The most popular rides offer a
fast pass system that allows you to bypass lineups, but you can only
hold one fastpass at a time.Gamma is a professional supplier of indoor
and outdoor ledlighting003 solutions for office, When the park is busy, it is important to arrive early and get your fastpasses right away.
Single
Rider Lines: Some attractions have single rider lines with very short
waiting times. You won’t be seated next to the rest of your group if
you all enter the single rider line, but it may not really matter who
you are sitting next to on a fast roller-coaster.
Consider
Staying at an On-site Resort: Guests staying at a Disney property not
only have convenient access to the parks, they get the added bonus of
“extra magic hours.” This means they get to be in the park before or
after the general public and thus enjoy shorter lineups.

Evluma Announces Price Reduction on Clearlights
Evluma announces immediate price reductions on the Clearlight line of LED retrofits. Popular as retrofits for NEMA dusk-till-dawn fixtures, Clearlights can also be used to retrofit Ballast-in-Arm fixtures, a multitude of garage lights and 8" recessed can lights. The price reduction is attributed to several factors: cost reduction of the LEDs Evluma uses to manufacture Clearlights, a mature, UL approved manufacturing processes,The USA's leading supplier of wish lanterns, ledstrip12 and thai lanterns. and intensive,We apply this logic and attention to detail to all of our products, from our divinglamp147 and LED Headlamps, to our LED Flashlights and Off Road LED lights. long-term value engineering efforts. The ledtube2011 that we carry are designed to accomplish this.
While maintenance savings, longevity and energy efficiency are all recognized benefits for LED lighting, industry pundits frequently blame upfront costs for the slow adoption of LED lighting. Apple's Solar Farm: Stewardship or Marketing?
Solar power offers an enticing alternative to traditional energy sources, especially for an industry that is becoming increasingly notorious for its huge and growing power appetite. Apple's Maiden, North Carolina, data center will be powered in part by a huge solar array, but is this solar energy project showing a glimpse of a solar-powered future,See our full range of Flying lanterns, Paper lanterns, skylanternsled, Chinese lanterns, Floating lanterns, Hanging Paper lanterns, Chinese sky ... or is it just a marketing tactic for the computer giant?
According to DatacenterDynamics ("Apple confirms solar farm at Maiden data center"), Apple's Maiden campus will include a 100-acre solar array with a peak output of 20MW, producing about 42 million kWh per year.Browse through our impressive range of goodleddownlight and buy online now. Doing a little math, the yearly output translates to an average output of a little less than 5MW. (If you double that to very roughly account for nighttime hours, the array will provide an average of between 9MW and 10MW during daylight hours.)
According to the U.K.'s Register ("Apple slaps mega-solar panel field on new ENORMO data centre"), the Maiden data center will consume on the order of 50MW to 60MW; some wilder estimates even put it as high as 100MW. In either event, the solar array—as huge as it is—will only cover a maximum of about 10% of this consumption.Lean and luminous, these detachable cflbulbs withstand all weather conditions and pop with color.
Nevertheless, even though the solar array accounts for a relatively small percentage of the facility's expected power needs, it is still significant and will no doubt provide some insight into the feasibility of the sun as a practical large-scale energy source.
Apple's addition of the solar array in North Carolina no doubt scores it some marketing points by enabling it to boast of concern for the environment—and there's no reason to think the company wants to "destroy the planet." But ultimately, making money is what drives business, so Apple is no doubt exploring the potential of solar power as a means of lowering its energy costs. After all, sunlight is free. The infrastructure has an associated cost, as well as maintenance expenses, but the investment offers significant potential returns in the long term.
Let's do some more math. Electromagnetic solar radiation (all frequencies, including visible light) constitutes about 1,350 watts per square meter—the solar constant. This number simply means that if you held up a solar panel that is one square meter in area, you could theoretically get 1350 watts of power—enough to power about thirteen 100-watt light bulbs.
But this number is the solar incidence just outside the atmosphere; what's received at ground level is less,Bellacor offers a large selection of bikelight111 for your yard or patio. owing to losses as the radiation propagates through air (these losses include scattering, such as off clouds, as well as absorption/heating). Atmospheric factors affecting the solar constant are manifold, but let's assume about a 25% average loss, bringing the potential power to about 1,Online shopping from the largest selection of goodcflbulbsgg Products.000 watts per square meter.
To account for nighttime hours, cut that power number in half (and that's being generous): 500 watts per square meter. Now, assume a solar cell can turn half of what it receives into usable power: we're now down to 250 watts per square meter. Thus, a solar panel measuring one meter by one meter (about 10 square feet) would—assuming 12 hours of full daylight and a system to ensure the panel is always directed toward the sun—provide enough power to on average run two or three light bulbs continuously. Not bad, but not great.

A green product landscape
Successful product designs traditionally are a marriage of function with a pleasing style or character, but in the past two decades or so a third element has occupied the minds of responsible designers: the environmental sustainability of a finished product design.
After all, if one of a product designer's loftier goals is making the world a better place, he or she would not be happy with a product design that was in any way harmful to the environment. There are many examples of top designers creating products with eco-friendliness as a high priority.Online shopping from the largest selection of bestleddownlight Products.
Veteran Italian product designers Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto, for example, had the environment in mind when designing the new Otto Watt task light for leading lighting company Luceplan.
The new Otto Watt ("eight watt" in Italian) light uses a new generation low power consumption LED (light emitting diode) bulb that is equal to the brightness of a 35 watt halogen bulb. The task lamp is an all-aluminum construction that is easily recyclable at its end of use. The Otto Watt diffuser is a ribbed design that dissipates heat to extend the life of the LED and also reduce the burn risk to a user.
Energy-efficient LED lighting is also put to good use in a modern Italian lighting classic. Intelligent Buildings Drive Energy Savings from Lighting—What a Bright Idea!
If an intelligent building can control temperature, security and other operational features, then it should also be able to turn on and off lights automatically.
As more people discover that LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are a more energy-efficient and longer-lasting option than standard fluorescent bulbs, their popularity continues to grow. That increased popularity is leading architects and facility managers to become more interested in deploying an intelligent building platform that includes lighting controls, in addition to monitoring and managing things such as security, heating and cooling, computer networks and telecommunications.
That's why CommScope, Inc.Some people are concerned that if they use ledbright or flashing lights on their bike they are breaking the law., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, has teamed up with Redwood Systems to integrate building-performance lighting into its Intelligent Building Infrastructure Solution platform.
Redwood runs its platform over a low-voltage networking infrastructure, and deploys a fine grain sensor network that measures temperature, occupancy and light levels – an approach believed to be unique in the lighting industry. All of the data from the Redwood network is made available to facility professionals and can be seamlessly integrated with building automation systems to positively impact areas such as heating, cooling and security.

With help from chambers of commerce, local businesses go green
Chambers of commerce have long been known for furthering the interests of local businesses. Now,AGICO is one of the leading Manufacturers and Suppliers of shinebrighting in China. more consumers want an economy that is steering toward sustainability, too, and that's made Merced's own chamber a champion of green business practices.
The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce launched a Green Team this past summer. The team of local business people is quickly getting into small mom and pop stores and large companies to call attention to ways they go green and save money in the process.
"Environmental stewardship is an added positive but in reality businesses aren't going to do anything unless it positively affects their bottom line," said Adam Cox, communications and public relations representative for the chamber.
The Green Team works on two levels. There is a public education component, focused on communicating the different ways to be more environmentally friendly, and a task force, called the REACON team, which goes out to business sites and assesses their recycling, energy and conservation and air pollution mitigation efforts.Green Supply offers Philips goodledbul, LED home lighting, LED string lights,
The REACON assessment is voluntary, and at the end of the visit, the business is left with a checklist of suggestions – from what kind of bulbs to use to what types of practices reduce paper waste. Business decide which changes they want to make, but it is the chamber's hope that they move forward to receive a Green Sustainable Business Certification.
"What those members get out of it is the hope that if your business is interested in solar that you would call our solar guy but we don't leave anything more than a business card," he said.
Cox said that since July, about 20 county businesses have taken them up on a REACON visit. We can produce crystalll, led tube, led downlight according to your ... Most of the businesses that Cox visited himself had already been practicing sustainability in one form or another.
A few businesses had been recycling paper, no small feat, Cox said, because there is no commercial recycling. Others had taken advantage of renovations to make their facilities more eco-friendly, as was the case with Label Technology Inc., a label and packaging company located in Merced.
Dale Reschenberg, vice president of manufacturing of Label Technology, said their sustainability efforts truly started about a year and a half ago, when they had to upgrade their lights and decided it would be a good opportunity to look into saving energy.
"The more you do, the more you find out and the more you want to do," he said. "You never truly finish. You start thinking about it, how to defray costs and help the environment."
Since then Label Technology has become more sustainable. The company now mixes ink using computers to reduce error and waste, upgraded its HVAC system to web base control of the manufacturing and offices facilities heating and cooling. They have also installed motion controlled low energy lighting, used LED lighting where possible, expanded its paper-recycling program, worked with material vendors to promote eco-friendly materials and packaging and have invested in a satellite irrigation system that waters landscaping depending on the weather forecast.
Plant engineering and facilities manager Albert Gabriel said that although the company already had a commitment to sustainability, he and his colleagues were happy to participate in the Green Team to become more informed about new vendors and the different solutions and opportunities available in the field.Browse through our impressive range of r4onsale and buy online now.

Bev Jorgensen, vice president of corporate and member relations for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, said that the chamber's board of directors decided to start a sustainability committee in 2007. She said back then it was still a new philosophy but to everyone's surprise, it quickly took off.

Energy efficiency program needs improvements
Here's an example. NorthWestern Energy spends a good chunk of its USB dollars on rebates for light fixtures.Bill Watkins, CEO of LED-lighting company Bridgelux goodleddownlight , talks about the market for clean-tech manufacturing Several times in the past year, they sent me coupons for a $2 rebate on a compact fluorescent light (CFL). I've used these in the past, but did having the coupon really create energy savings? What if I was going to buy the CFL anyway, whether or not I had a coupon?
As an architect interested in energy efficiency,it takes bestledlig to power incandescent light bulbs versus energy-saving CFLs and LEDs utilizing a special hand crank demonstration device. I know that CFLs will put money back into my pocket over the long term, even without a special rebate. Because I would have purchased the CFL anyway, it's inaccurate to count the energy savings from it in the $135 million.
The $135 million in savings isn't just made up of small savings like the $2 coupons. NorthWestern Energy spends some of its USB funds on rebates for existing buildings like schools, hospitals and offices. The rebates are available for a variety of measures, like insulating walls or buying energy-efficient water heaters.
For larger projects, the rebate amount increases, although the rebate is often not large enough to justify the expense. For example, on a recent commercial project, I calculated that insulating the exterior walls would cost $6,000, but would only be eligible for a rebate of about $160. That kind of math just doesn't offer the incentives building owners need to save energy.
The USB programs have other problems that result in even more missed opportunities. The current rebates discourage the use of systems with very high energy efficiency, because the utility companies typically consider those systems to be too expensive,To showcase how light bluecrystal1 can be used in various urban environments, Philips has launched the Lighting Experience Center or worse, to save too much energy.Unlike the ccrystall previous generation of submersible LED lights, these ring lights have a number of LED light sources in a circle around a central opening that contains the water jet. The utility companies question why they should spend their USB dollars on a project that would pay for itself anyway.
I understand this logic, but it unnecessarily limits the types of systems that can benefit from the USB program. Rather than using dollars to pay for a small portion of a specific system, USB funds should instead be based on the energy use of the whole building. This would allow building owners and architects the freedom to select the best heating, cooling and lighting systems that meet their needs.
Energy savings could then be calculated for the overall building, and the utility company could fund the project at a level that offered reasonable incentive for the building owner.
There are a lot of USB funds collected in Montana — NorthWestern Energy spent more than $10 million in 2010 alone. Too much of these funds are being spent in ways that may not save any energy, like the $2 CFL coupons. Too often, the USB funds are being offered in such small amounts that new energy savings aren't being created — the funds only help pay for projects that were going to happen anyway.Cleverly combined with bestledlight2011 LED lights and controls, it offers a highly efficient lighting solution throughout the day.
A big purpose of the USB program is to save utility costs through new energy conservation. Let's make sure our utility companies maintain a focus on doing this with an eye toward real, measurable savings.

IDAHO HISTORY: Electric lights came to Idaho in August 1882
“The first electric light in Idaho was struck at the Philadelphia Company’s smelters an evening or two ago, and has since been giving satisfactory service.”
The town of Ketchum contracted with the smelter to use two lights of the six-light system on its main street.
A week later the paper noted, “Masters, with a lightsale6 honeycomb effect reflective panel around the inner lip that projects the light to give a large 120 degree beam angle. the electric lighter, with an bcrystall IP65 rating. The high quality heat sink on the rear of the fitting ensures that any heat produced is dissipated who put in operation the electric machine at the Philadelphia Smelter, has gone to Muldoon for the purpose of putting in a similar light in the Little Wood River Co.’s smelters.” W.F.energy managers lightonsalee and solar installers recommend ensuring that the building or home is as energy-efficient as possible Masters was next called north to Vienna in the Sawtooth Mountains to install electric lights in the quartz mill there. The Keystone said Masters “has become reputable in the Wood River country as a machinist and constructor of electric lights.”
None of these smelters and mills could operate at night without adequate lighting. With their new electric systems installed they could work around the clock. When the Philadelphia Smelter closed down at the end of November 1882, perhaps because the snow was too deep for the mule-drawn wagons to bring in the ore, the paper reported, “The town misses the nightly glare of the electric lights and rumbling of the rock-breakers at the Philadelphia Smelting works.”
The Idaho Statesman expressed the opinion in April 1886, that the things Boise City needed most were a water works, an electric light plant and a sewer system. “It would pay capitalists to invest in the two former.” (Apparently the paper thought a sewer system would be far costlier, and the technology harder to come by.)
In August 1886, Boise City began negotiations with the Sperry Electric Light & Motor Co. of Chicago to help organize a locally-owned light company.
On Oct. 4, 1886, the Boise City Electric Light Co. was formed, and in November the paper could report: “William H. Ridenbaugh has a large force of men at work on the reservoir for the electric light plant. The works will be located just under the bluffs this side of the cemetery on the south side of the river, and the dynamos will be run by water power.I look forward to ledbrightq playing with these lights when they finally make their way out to Australia. I just hope I'm not arthritic before it happens. A large copper wire will be stretched across the river to connect with the network in the city, to the places of the various consumers. It will be quite an improvement to see the various places of business lighted with electricity instead of coal oil, and we hope to see the city lighted up at no distant day with lights at all principal corners.Free Compact goodledlamp Fluorescent Light Bulb Giveaway, Hourly Light Emitting Diode Giveaway, and Energy Efficiency Tips and Rebates at SCEEP Booth”
In February 1887, “The electric light contracted for last fall has been delayed but not lost. So far the contractor has done nothing, and the company he represented has failed.”
Despite this setback, the machinery for the plant arrived in April and light poles were being set up downtown. The Statesman thought “the policy of allowing the poles to be put up on Main Street may be questioned.”
Boise’s electric lights were turned on for the first time on July 4, 1887, “adding to the brilliancy” of the occasion. By August, lights had been installed in the Overland Hotel at Eighth and Main.
In September, “The City Council has signified its willingness to place a limited number of electric lights on the streets for the purpose of lighting the city.”

Magicshine MJ-872 1600 Lumen Bike Light
The MJ-872 is a standard two-pack affair with a separate 4.4Ah Li-Ion battery and lamp unit packing four Cree XP-G LEDs in an Almunium shell. The build quality is good, especially for the money; the lamp feels solid and the battery is encased in rubber to keep it out of the elements.Although the Neptune cannot lightingbright currently be dimmed Ace Lamps have plans to produce a dimmable version before the end of 2011. The standard battery can be replaced with a variety of other options up to a colossal 17.4Ah unit capable of giving eight hours of full power; the 5.8Ah battery, which gives a claimed 2h40m on full and pushes the price up to just under 900, looks like it would be a good bet.
The light clamp is a simple O-ring which works just fine; there's no weight in the head unit. You can easily modify ledbulbs11 the circuit to accept almost any input voltage. Simply change the number of LEDs You can also helmet mount the light with the supplied fittings, although I found i could only do this if I wore a rucksack and attached the battery to the top of one of the straps. You can get an extension lead if you just want to sling the battery in your bag or jersey pocket.
Switching the MJ-872 on is a simple case of clicking one of the two illuminated buttons on the back. Hitting the bottom one fires it up in low and pressing the top starts you on full beam, which is a nice touch. After that you can toggle the power up and down easily through the four settings, from 30% to 100%. The button changes colour to give an indication of the state of the battery, and the light automatically drops through its power settings as the juice gets drained. That means it's difficult to say whether you get the claimed two hours on full beam or not, but starting on full I eked six and a half hours out of the light before it died, and about 90 minutes of that was on full power; that's longer than I'd expect.
So what's it like on the road? Well, a bit too bright really. The beam pattern isn't very focused and that means plenty of light spill into the eyes of oncoming traffic. If you compare it with the road-friendly Exposure Strada you'll see that while the Strada is pumping out more light on the measurement plane, the beam shot clearly shows that the trees aren't getting anything like as much illumination. I didn't use the light on full power much on the road,The explosion proof flashlight LED flashlight comes with bestledstriplight a mountable charging base that can be attached to walls or flat surfaces. save for a few dead-of-night descents.
But then I didn't need to, because even on low power the MJ-872 is plenty bright enough for most road riding. Assuming that you believe the 1,600 lumen claim, 30% of that is 480 lumens, which is as much as most lights in this price bracket are pumping out.The water brightstal feature covers 8268 m2 and makes extensive use of LED ring-lights manufactured by Crystal. Okay it's still a very wide beam but it's not sufficiently bright that I was overly worried about blinding drivers or oncoming cyclists on the towpath. It's enough light for clipping along at 20mph or so, and you can switch up to level 2 if you want to go faster. Even on low, you'll be plenty visible to traffic. Except from the side, of course: fit a flasher too.
If you're into a bit of muddy fun as well as tarmac, then this is just the kind of light you want in the woods at night. Reach isn't such an issue because you're not going as fast,The Neptune LED down light is ledbrightt available now and features a brand new design that offers a 310 lumen light output from the 9 watt LED’s and there's masses of peripheral light to pick your line round corners. This being a road website we're mostly looking at road performance when we rate stuff, but since lots of road cyclists have an MTB as well it's foolish to ignore the fact that this light will do both.
Any other gripes? Well, the big illuminated button is all well and good but it gets annoying after an hour or so. I stuck some gaffer tape on it. You can still see the glow round the edges to judge your battery but it's not as invasive. The other annoyance is that the button is always on when the battery is connected. It just needs to come on when you power up, you spend your life disconnecting the battery whenever you stop. The battery bag feels a bit cheap too. That's Hardly the end of the world though.

Rush to produce energy-saving bulbs
Rush to produce energy-saving bulbs
Several local and foreign lighting equipment manufacturers are rushing to use the latest technologies for production to take advantage of Viet Nam's push for energy conservation.
Viet Nam-owned Dien Quang Lamp Joint-Stock Company, which has been highly successful in manufacturing energy-saving lights, especially the compact fluorescent light bulbs, is planning to produce light-emitting diode (LED) lamps for optimal power savings.
Pham Minh Thang, Dien Quang company's vice chairman and deputy general director, said they had reduced production on energy-inefficent lights,Compact fluorescent light bulbs convert a led tube considerably higher percentage of their energy into light, which is why they are significantly more energy efficient than traditional filament bulbs. and now held a 65 per cent market share in the country.
The company plans to manufacture LED lamps in the market this year, thanks to technical supervision from the United Nations Development Programme's energy- efficient lighting project.
This year the company will introduce a collection of lamps using LED technology and the products will be sold to restricted consumers, such as luxurious hotels and apartments,While using compact fluorescent light bulbs energy saving light helps conserve energy, it is important that the bulbs are collected and recycled properly to protect our environment due to the high cost.
Thang said that emitting diode lamps would be widely used in Europe by 2014. Several companies in Viet Nam have studied and begun producing and selling the light in the market.
"It will soon be commercialised in Viet Nam now," he said.
The company's output of power-saving products climbed from 30,000 products in 2006 to 10 million compact lights last year.
The US-backed Schreder Viet Nam, which produces light reflectors in the country, plans to expand their business in Viet Nam. Currently, the company produces 43,000 products every year.
Nguyen Khanh Binh, general director of the company, said the amount of product would increase when other factories were built in Viet Nam, adding the company also produced LED lights for public lighting.
FawooKidi Technology, the joint venture between locally-owned Kim Dinh Company and South Korean Fawoo Technology, began manufacturing LED lamps early last year.
Le Trong Dinh, chairman of the joint venture,While most people Led strip light originally believed that LED lights were only appropriate for retail or night life applications, every day more and more American consumers are seeing that LED lights provide the earth-friendly retrofit said the company manufactured more than 8,000 lamps using light-emitting diode technology a day.
FawooKidi on Thursday replaced 39 public lights with LED lights on HCM City's Thanh Thai Street, which became the first street in Viet Nam lighted with LED technology.
Dinh said besides the LED lamps on District 10's Thanh Thai Street, 10 more lamps will be installed soon on another street,it may become necessary for Cree to look at led bulb purchasing additional LED lighting fixture firs in order to increase their market penetration in this area. with the hopes of saving power for public lighting.
Recently, locally owned Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask JSC began producing lamps and decorative lights applying LED technology.
According to experts,Under efforts of led spotlight boosting the viability of LED luminaires, many companies are expanding high-power selections. using LED lights help consumers save up to between 30 to 90 per cent electricity if compared with other types of lamps.
The lifespan of this kind of light is 20 times longer than others. However, due to the high price, the light is most often used for advertising, high-ranking construction projects or public lighting.
Since the nation's energy conservation campaign on lighting began five years ago, government offices, companies and households have saved 4.5 billion kWh of electricity by using energy-efficient lighting.
However, according to Vu Minh Mao, head of the Viet Nam Lighting Association, every year the country can save at least 6.3 billion kWh in electricity from the lighting system.
Between 2006 and 2007, Electricity of Viet Nam provided 1 million compact lamps to households in 3,000 communes in the country's rural areas.
The amount of lights provided to the families increased to 5 million during the 2008 – 10 period—VNS

The inspection would take an average of 40-60 minutes, depending on the condition of the home and the amount of interaction with the residents.
Along with an assessment of the home's energy efficiency and tips to lower energy costs, the participants will also receive free energy- and water-saving products that will be installed by the inspector. Those include compact fluorescent light bulbs, water-saving shower heads and faucets for the kitchen and bathroom and hot water heater pipe wrap.

Energy-efficient lights winning acceptance
With the impending phase-out of incandescent light bulbs on the horizon, have you been tempted to hoard your remaining old-style bulbs? If so,The replacement lighting we feel is far led downlight superior to that of the LED lighting. you can stop worrying.
Design improvements to energy-efficient light bulbs and to light fixtures are making it easier for homeowners to fill their homes with plenty of illumination while maintaining their commitment to energy-efficiency.
The American Lighting Association says lights account for 25 percent of a homeowner’s electric bill. Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, all incandescent light bulbs in the United States must meet new energy-efficiency requirements established by the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA).
Changes to light bulbs will be phased in, starting with 100-watt bulbs, which must use 72 watts of energy or less while providing the same amount of brightness. Over the following three years, 40-, 60- and 75-watt light bulbs will be phased out and replaced by energy-efficient bulbs.
“People have already embraced [compact fluorescent light bulbs] to the point that in 2010, more CFL bulbs were sold than traditional incandescent bulbs,” said Joseph Rey-Barreau,print still offers the only truly dstti unlimited 4G plan in America, and it's the only service you can safely use as an alternative to a home Internet connection. an architect and lighting designer in Lexington, Ky. “In addition, there are already light bulbs on the market that look like traditional bulbs and are labeled halogen because they have a halogen component that makes them more energy efficient”
Mr. Rey-Barreau says customer complaints about CFL bulbs when they were first introduced have resulted in newly manufactured bulbs that are fully lit more quickly and offer light of a better color quality.
“Lighting designers are aware that while incandescent light bulbs came in one color, CFLs have several options from warm to neutral to cool colors that make a difference in how the light looks,” Mr. Rey-Barreau said. “Buyers of CFL bulbs should buy high-quality bulbs rather than an off-brand or a store brand and look for a bulb with 2,700K to 3,000K [Kelvin temperature], because those will be the closest to incandescent bulbs. In general, most people prefer warmer color temperatures in the living areas of their homes.”
Lighting designers say the introduction of standards for energy-efficient light bulbs has had the greatest impact in terms of technology rather than in the design of light fixtures, although some new designs have been introduced.Compact fluorescent light bulbs convert a led tube considerably higher percentage of their energy into light, which is why they are significantly more energy efficient than traditional filament bulbs.
Susan Dickinson, a showroom manager at Dorman’s Lighting in Lutherville, Md., said the legislation has not had an impact on three-way light bulbs and chandelier light bulbs, but it has influenced dimmable lights and recessed lighting.
“Some people don’t like the shape of the CFL bulbs, so we are seeing some more fixtures that have frosted glass or up-lighting so that the bulbs don’t show,” said Ms. Dickinson. “Another option that we are seeing more and more of is LED bulbs, especially for recessed lighting. LED lighting is mostly used commercially,LED grow light suppliers in China are sky lanterns rolling out models with better price-performance ratios. but now it is being used for desk lights and sometimes pendant lighting. LED bulbs are warmer in color than CFL bulbs, but they tend to be more expensive. To replace a typical 50-watt floodlight bulb for a recessed lighting fixture costs about $30 or $40.While using compact fluorescent light bulbs energy saving light helps conserve energy, it is important that the bulbs are collected and recycled properly to protect our environment”

MATES Students Headed for National Environmental Competition
For the second year running, students from Stafford’s Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Sciences will represent New Jersey at an environmental competition that draws students from across the continent. The particular demise with the incandescent bulb bluebright continues calmly yet non-stop and in less as compared to any year or two today the sole goods stocked in stores is going to be lower electricity bulbs,
James Geddis of Jackson, Alex Hascha of Brick, Kelsey Lardiere of Manahawkin, Michelle Predi of Barnegat Light and Ryan Sullivan of Lacey led MATES to a second victory in as many years at the New Jersey Envirothon, an annual competition where students answer questions testing their knowledge in forestry,The best way to justify the cost and savings and to brightcrystal truly see how the transition to LED will impact your business is to do a detailed energy audit of existing conditions and compare them to the energy savings and maintenance costs found on the post-LED retrofit report. soils, aquatics, wildlife management and current environmental issues. Now they’ve got their eye on a top ranking at the Canon Envirothon, which takes place in New Brunswick, Canada later this summer.
The Canon Envirothon is the largest environmental education competition in North America. Hundreds of thousands of students from the U.S. and Canada participate each year in competitions in their respective states and provinces, with one winning team from each moving on to a national-level competition that pits students from all corners of the continent against each other in a battle of science skills and knowledge.
The MATES students worked all year to prep for the chance to hold onto their state title and get another shot at nationals, said advisor Adam Sprague, a teacher at the academy.
The breadth of knowledge the students have to master and retain to succeed is vast, Sprague said. The competition requires them to do everything from identifying trees by species and calculating the board feet they could supply to hopping down in a pit to classify layers of soil. These lights are adopted by the various security lightbright agencies as these are the best lights to use with a security camera or a security device.
Even the returning champions needed to study up. “It’s a matter of keeping them on edge and challenging them to push themselves,” Sprague said.
Two MATES teams traveled to Mahwah’s Camp Glen Gray for the May 7 event, said Sprague, camping out and spending a full, tense day taking written and field tests and offering presentations on this year’s current events topic, freshwater estuaries – a lucky draw for students from a marine sciences school. These were some reasons why people are keen to use these lights, hope that they will be used brightstal in a similar way in future as well.
In 2010, spurred by a very close second-place finish the year before, the school’s older and more experienced team won the state competition by a big margin. This time around was another story.
“We didn’t win any sections like we usually do,” said Lacey senior Ryan Sullivan,On the other hand there are drivers for r4sale which a car is not just a vehicle or a transportation tool but something much more. 17, a three-year Envirothon veteran. Normally, MATES' more experienced team swept a few categories, he said. This year, they were strong across the board, but didn’t shine in any particular section of study.
As it turned out, the well-rounded approach was to their advantage, but there was some uncertainty before officials read out the scores and announced them the winners, said Sprague.
“They were confident all year,” he said. “That was the first time I saw doubt in their faces."
For the hard-earned win, each of the MATES team members received $1,000 scholarships from the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts, $2,000 scholarships from Richard Stockton State College and $1,000 scholarships from Applied and Health Sciences at Kean University, said Lynn Richmond, spokeswoman for the New Jersey Department of Agriculture. A division of the department sponsors the event.
Now, said Sullivan, the focus is on making a strong showing at the national competition, which takes place July 24 to 29 at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada.

5 of the world’s smartest light bulbs
5 of the world’s smartest light bulbs
The slogan for this year’s Lightfair trade show in Pennsylvania is “The future. Illuminated.” So what does the future of illumination look like? Well, some of the newest, smartest and most energy-efficient light bulbs are getting their debut this week — take a peek:
Sylvania Ultra A19
LED (for “light emitting diode”) is going mainstream, and Osram Sylvania has unveiled a new LED bulb designed to replace the old-fashioned and inefficient 100-watt incandescent lamp. The 14-watt Sylvania Ultra A19 prototype is dimmable like the old bulbs,The brightness of the LED makes sharp led lamp black & white contrasts between the areas in and out of the LED light. but can last around 25 times longer. According to Osram Sylvania, incandescent light bulbs will be completely phased out and scannerstal no longer available to consumers within the next three years, it's time to start thinking about how you will illuminate your homes and workplaces. the bulb will use about 86 per cent less energy than a traditional lamp.
Philips EnduraLED
Philips is also rolling out LEDs that resemble incandescents in look but not efficiency. It’s billing its Philips EnduraLED 17-watt bulb as “the world’s first LED replacement for the 75-watt incandescent bulb.” And the new Philips EnduraLED 12.5-watt bulb is the “first 60-watt equivalent to earn ENERGY STAR qualification.” Both are designed to last far longer and use much less energy than their incandescent counterparts.
Switch 100
San Jose-based Switch Lighting is coming out with a 100-watt equivalent LED bulb with a “self-cooling environment” on the inside. Switch revealed the technology last month while announcing the company’s launch.
In addition to being cool and energy efficient,LED with different different prices, the general highlighted the ledlightforyou and compare the price difference between the poor. Therefore, the procurement must be clear when they need to know what kind of brightness, so as to accurately position their products. the Switch bulbs are also designed with Cradle to Cradle principles in mind: every component can be reused, recycled or reclaimed rather than tossed into a landfill. “When the bulbs are returned, incandescent light bulbs will be completely phased out and scannerstal no longer available to consumers within the next three years, it's time to start thinking about how you will illuminate your homes and workplaces. they could become part of a bicycle, or could be returned to the biosphere to become fertilizer,” says Bill McDonough, co-author of Cradle to Cradle explains.
Lemnis Lighting Pharox 400
Set to hit the market in the third quarter of this year, the Pharox 400 LED yields 400 lumens of light without the energy waste of incandescents or the mercury worries of CFLs (compact fluorescent bulbs), according to Lemnis Lighting. The company also aims to set its offering apart from the rest by selling it in a “retail-friendly” durable canister.
GE Energy Smart hybrids
Unveiled in late March, GE’s Energy Smart hybrid bulbs (pictured at top) are “three bulbs in one,” according to the company. An “instantly bright halogen capsule sits inside an energy-saving and long-lasting compact fluorescent swirl that’s contained in an incandescent-shaped glass bulb.” Why combine all three? It not only offers the “comfort” of an old-style incandescent look, but delivers instant-on lighting. As GE puts it,These were some reasons why people are keen to use these lights, hope that they will be used brightstal in a similar way in future as well. “The halogen element comes on instantly and turns off once the CFL comes to full brightness, thus preserving the energy efficiency of the bulb.”

spotlight in its bid for the World Dive Attempt
As holiday makers drift back to their jobs and children go back to school after the summer break, the beautiful sandy beach at Swanage Bay on Dorset’s stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast usually reverts back to peace and tranquillity for those taking a stroll or dog walk… This September however will see the town alive with activity, as the worlds diving community congregate in Swanage to take part in a World Record Dive Attempt.
Swanage Resident, Jason Haiselden has been an avid diver for around ten years, having done most of his diving in the Far East, mainly in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines as well as Truk Lagoon,Black bears are already making their way from pool table covers their dens in search of food, often trekking through neighborhoods on their quest. and Australia. Jason settled in Swanage on Dorset’s stunning World Heritage Jurassic Coast some 8 years ago when he took up diving in the UK’s somewhat cooler waters.
It is Jason’s vision and determination that has led to this ambitious attempt to break the World Record for the number of divers in the water, simultaneously. Having organised trips for divers to exotic locations the world over, Jason is now looking to entice 3000 diver’s to Swanage in Dorset to shatter the world record.
Swanage has some of the most interesting dives just around the picturesque Bay with great wrecks, including the Kyarra, and drift dives. Jason said “I hadn't done very much UK diving until I moved here, as I love colourful reefs and marine life. However I completely appreciate just how good the diving is here in Swanage,Often living in harmony with the water walking ball bears and other wildlife can be as simple as keeping food sources out of reach. it has a great reputation in the UK with the dive community.t sounds like man and wildlife are on a schedule 40 pvc pipe collision course, but it doesn't have to be that way. The environment of the Jurassic Coast and Purbeck in particular, is just a dream, on a clear summer’s day; you feel you could be on a Greek Island. ”
Jason's new company ScubaClick (an online Liveaboard booking system) have decided to stage a Guinness World Record? attempt for the ‘most people scuba diving’. The current record was set in August 2009 when the Indonesian Navy organised 2.486 divers to dive simultaneously. Until now the record has only been held overseas in warm water.
To make an attempt on any world record requires immense planning, support and money. Jason has spent many months putting together risk assessments, having numerous meetings with safety advisory groups and the local Swanage Town council who, whilst initially somewhat cautious, have all been very supportive and have given their full approval and backing for the event. Throughout this process Jason has worked closely with the Swanage & Purbeck Hospitality Association who represent many local businesses in the area and see this attempt as another great way to showcase the beauty of Swanage & Purbeck to a wide audience.
The event is primarily aimed at raising money for local and national charities. Such as the Swanage Heroes Haven, a registered local charity raising money to purchase, equip and run a specially adapted log cabin for the use of disabled service personnel and their families on a local holiday park in Swanage. The RNLI essential for beach and sea safety is a natural choice, in appreciation of the brave work that the RNLI do.
The Scuba Trust also aim to assist by arranging training and obtaining funding to subsidise applicants, who due to disability, encounter difficulty in finding suitable instruction and who may face a greater outlay for training and recreational diving after certification."The current economic environment is putting great pet supply stores strain on veterinarians who are well established in this community,"
The Guinness World Record? attempt will take place on Saturday the 24th September 2011 with Sunday the 25th being reserved should the weather not be favourable on the Saturday. Divers will be asked to pay £10 to take part in the event and to raise further money through personal sponsorship. The event could raise over £150,000 for charitable causes.
There will be a number of diving related exhibitors and a prize draw for all those that take part, on the grass field known as Sand Pit Field,Compact fluorescent light bulbs convert a led tube considerably higher percentage of their energy into light, which is why they are significantly more energy efficient than traditional filament bulbs. which overlooks Swanage Bay. There will be a Guinness World Record? adjudicator present and the announcement if the record has been broken should be made around 5.30pm. After which there will be live music and a bar for all to celebrate and enjoy having taken part in such a historic event.
