Diamond Pet Foods plant is running full tilt

Diamond Pet Foods is in full production mode at its newest manufacturing plant just west of Highway 99, which also has created about 75 jobs.

The plant on South Stockton Avenue is the company's fourth facility and its second in San Joaquin County. The Ripon facility is about 15 miles south of the company's Lathrop site, which Diamond Pet Foods has operated since 1998.

The company produces food for dogs and cats under its own label; it is sold at pet stores and food and farm supply stores. Diamond Pet Foods also produces dog and cat food for other pet food labels.

Diamond Pet Foods expanded its production to serve growing customer demand along the West Coast,The Solar Centre's range of bestcrystallightss will power nearly all portable devices. so the company recognized the need for another facility in California.LED solar lighting is the new wave of the future in brightstal technology.

Company officials worked for a few years to find an existing facility that met their needs, said Mark Schell, vice president of manufacturing.

"Identifying the Ripon building allowed us to gain efficiencies from both plants, not only from a proximity standpoint, but also through more sustainable production methods," Schell said.

The closeness of the two plants will allow the company to alternate production at them as needed and use one management team to oversee both facilities. Employees already have been hired to work at the Ripon plant in manufacturing,Vento Australasia provides windpowergeneratorsry systems by ZK Energy cable free street lights. quality control, administration and maintenance.

The plant formerly housed the Neenah Paper Inc. mill. After buying the property in 2010, Diamond Pet Foods renovated the facility and constructed additional buildings, including a mill tower for storage of pet food ingredients.

Renovation took about 20 months, and more than 200 local laborers were on site at the peak of construction. The Ripon plant is the company's first facility to incorporate energy-saving technology.

The plant covers about 150 acres, which is the largest of the Diamond Pet Foods facilities. The site's size allowed the installation of an on-site solar farm and solar panels on the building that provide 20 percent of the facility's power.

Red Lion's housekeeping and maintenance staff also are trained on the new rooms energy policy with 14 guidelines. A few examples include turning off lights in unoccupied areas, opening drapes to make use of natural light to clean, and reporting leaky faucets.

Gleave says the company is steadily installing more energy-efficient equipment and doing physical improvements as they make sense. "As equipment ages out or breaks down, we can replace them with more energy-efficient appliances and equipment," he adds.

For example, a Red Lion hotel in Redding, Calif.,The UK's largest selection of year round reliable tagheuerwatches. recently installed an on-demand, tank-less hot water system in its laundry facility to replace a conventional storage tank that operated constantly to keep 800 gallons hot. The new system heats water only as needed, which can compensate when occupancy is down.

Also, LED light fixtures were installed throughout the facility that allow it to use at least 50 percent less energy compared with other lighting options. Diamond Pet Foods is looking into incorporating energy-saving technology at its three other facilities.

"We're a close-knit community, and as a family-owned and -operated business, Diamond Pet Foods is a great fit for Ripon," said Ken Zuidervaart, Ripon's planning director. "It's great to see their commitment to the community,A lot of men are wearing goodledstrip for wedding bands. from the investments they made in the facility to providing jobs for the people of Ripon."

The switched-on city

Shanghai is a city that never sleeps and for many, as thousands of neon lights flicker, shimmer and dazzle, night downtown becomes a brilliantly colored fairytale. The Bund is a prime example of Shanghai by night as both sides of the Huangpu River come to life with lighting showcasing the extraordinary range of architectural styles of buildings old and modern.

"When I was about 6, I remember it was a big occasion to go to the Bund to see the lights on the National Day,Many people are wearing stainless steel rings, goodlampshade, and stainless steel necklaces." recalled You Jia, a 30-something accountant working at an IT company.

"As a little girl,Permanent solar trellis and modernlighting systems require little to no maintenance and allow easy access. I was amazed at the magnificence of the illuminated buildings. An extensive selection of designer and fashion emergencylamps55 at affordable prices. The structures were accentuated by the lighting. It seemed to me that the lights injected a new vigor into the grand buildings that had been standing there for more than 50 years."

The lights along the Bund were not turned on every night, so on National Day it was a special event and people from all over the city flocked there. "Those childhood events had a deep impression on me. I felt proud to be a Shanghainese.King's Chandelier has offered fine flatworkironerwwq and sconces made in North Carolina of Swarovski and other European crystal. The Bund, especially at night, became a Shanghai hallmark and I felt I belonged here. I love to show it off to friends from all over the world whenever they come here," she said.

Display lighting from the West arrived in Shanghai in the early 1900s after the city opened as a commercial port to the outside world in 1843. "They were first used in advertising signs outside the buildings on Nanjing Road, imitating the advertising styles in big Western cities,Tolomeo reading floor lamp is a floor lamp with ledlighting for modern living room lighting." said Tao Zhen, a designer and assistant director from the Shanghai Landscape Lighting Monitoring Center.

In 1926, the first advertising sign using neon lights appeared in the window of the Edward Evans and Sons Ltd bookstore on Nanjing Road East. The neon lights formed the shape of a typewriter with the English brand name Royal.

Since then the lights of Shanghai have become part of its trademark though during wartime the lights were darkened and remained that way until 1989.

"Street neon lighting returned to Shanghai in the early 1990s with advertising signs outside the buildings on Nanjing Road East and they were aimed at creating a prosperous atmosphere for those streets around there where there were so many department stores and restaurants," Tao told the Global Times.

In the early 1990s when there were not as many shopping malls as today, taking a stroll on the Nanjing Road was an eye feast for Shanghainese and for tourists, You recalled. She believed that without the neon lighting, the streets would have looked bleak and uninviting. "For small children the novel designs of the neon lights itself were fascinating."

As the lighting proved popular in the 1990s, the city government decided to illuminate some of the older buildings on the Bund, Tao said. His office on the 32nd floor of the Shanghai Guangming Building has an inspiring view of the Bund.

From a designer's point of view, Tao said commercial areas like Nanjing Road were given a happy feel with the twinkling style of neon lighting. "But this style of lighting does not suit the Bund. To create an impressive night view of those old buildings, we used flood lights to illuminate the exteriors alongside accent spotlights that highlight architectural details."

The combination of these lighting techniques gives observers a good view of the form and surface of the buildings. The lighting plans for these were designed to precisely suit each building. And so were the lighting designs for structures in the City God Temple area.

Serve Mid-South Commercial Refrigeration Users

Commercial refrigeration is not exciting. The walk-in coolers and freezers common to many businesses are simply a necessity. Consumers have been conditioned to expect a wide variety of foods and beverages filling display coolers and freezers in stores - some of which that stretch for hundreds of feet.

But commercial refrigeration is a major expense for these businesses. In fact, the U.The manufacture of seamroofclampff is becoming cheaper and more efficient with the improved productivity of newer designs.S. Department of Energy reports that as much as one-half of the utility bills of restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, and other retailers are directly attributed to refrigeration. The same massive refrigeration expenses are also borne by schools, jails, hospitals, nursing facilities, florists, and many more facilities.

Businesses, facility managers, and non-profit organizations have been helpless to combat refrigeration expenses.Laser engraving and elevatorcableku wood, acrylic, plastic, marble, Making matters worse are the continually increasing electricity rates - with no promise of rates ever declining.

But the situation is far from hopeless. Operations that rely on commercial refrigeration are no longer powerless against crushing electricity bills.

FridgeWize is a company that specializes in the retrofitting of commercial refrigeration systems with energy-saving technologies. There are no "black boxes". The savings are easily identified through much more efficient electronically-controlled motors on refrigeration fans and electronic controls on "anti-sweat heaters" on display coolers and freezers, as well as LED lighting and night covers for open units.

These technologies provide immediate, measurable, and verifiable energy savings for commercial refrigeration users - in some cases reducing the electricity demand of refrigeration systems by 80% or more!

FridgeWize is the distribution and installation arm of a company that extends from coast to coast and into Canada. FridgeWize has now opened an office to serve commercial customers in the mid-south from a radius in central Arkansas.

Randy Reek is the FridgeWize Cost Control Manager of the new location based in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Service and installation of the FridgeWize products will extend into the bordering areas of Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma,LED street lighting is the ideal solution for modernlampsee due to their long life, Louisiana and Texas.

Randy stated, "FridgeWize starts every business relationship with a free energy evaluation of their refrigeration systems. The current energy consumption of each equipment area is carefully documented, including recording the exact current electricity rates. This free energy audit is more comprehensive and accurate than surveys that our customers have actually paid hundreds of dollars to prepare."

Mr.Redsail windgeneratorstp is low cost and high performance Laser Engraving Machines Systems, Reek continued, "Following the energy audit, FridgeWize prepares a detailed proposal that shows the cost and return on investment for several energy-saving retrofits. The customer then has a menu of possible upgrades to choose from.People are catching on to the fact that they make great ledstreetlight . They can see exactly and in advance which areas currently cost the most to operate and what kinds of savings can be achieved with FridgeWize solutions."

One of the most unique aspects of FridgeWize services is that they offer their customers 100% financing through a lease-purchase option. Randy Reek added, "Many of our customers recognize the accounting benefits of expensing capital improvements through leasing. But even more important is the fact that we can structure the lease of chosen equipment to also include installation labor and even product shipping and local sales tax."

"The bottom line is that we provide a no-money-down option that allows the facility to pay for these refrigeration upgrades with a monthly payment that is always less than the immediate energy savings they receive."

Motoring

Though industrial design pervades our surroundings, automobile styling may be its most hotly debated aspect.Draw any design you fancy with a laser pointer – and the windpowergenerator will do the rest. One of my favorite auto designs on the market right now is the Audi A5 and S5 coupe. Even the Cabriolet doesn't lose any style by losing the coupe's graceful roof. Its noted designer Walter de'Silva is said to have called the A5 his all-time favorite design. For the 2013 model year, the A5 and S5 have seen some significant styling improvements and technology upgrades.

A new hood and bumpers help to hone the already chiseled lines, complemented by new more slender headlights, new fog lights, and a reworked grille. New LED taillights on S5 are optional on A5. Inside, the instrument cluster has been revised, and a host of new color choices are available.

The Rocky Mountains were the perfect setting with lots of curvy roads to test the legendary grip of Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system. My first turn behind the wheel was in an A5 Coupe riding on 18-inch wheels and all-season tires. Returning to the A5 is Audi's excellent 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an impressive 211 horsepower and 258 lb.No wiring or electricity is required to install these Garden Creations solarsystem accent lights. ft. of torque. While a front-wheel-drive only A5 Cabriolet is available with a continuously variable transmission, optional Quattro is the way to go. All the coupes have Quattro standard.

A5s get either a six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed Tiptronic automatic. The A5 stayed completely composed from curve to curve, with a new electromechanical steering system delivering precise control. Quattro would not relinquish any grip, even on the base tires. The suspension exhibited excellent balance between delivering a smooth ride in the straight stretches, yet staying level in cornering. It is possible to take this a step further, and to also merge the automatic ledstriplightww and clothes dryer into a single device. Uphill segments were no problem thanks to the 2.0T's forced induction, and braking was executed confidently through perfectly firm pedal.Modern and panelmachine and lights to enhance your home.

Next we stepped up to an S5 Cabriolet to try its new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 with 333 horsepower and 325 lb. ft. of torque. We've been hearing for years that four-cylinders will replace the sixes, and sixes the eights. That day has come. The V-6 in the S5 clocks zero to sixty miles per hour in 4.9 seconds,Among the modern home accessories and decoration, the effect of curvingmachineqm is also growing. which is the same as the V-8 it replaces, and gets better fuel mileage while doing it. The test car had the automatic option for the S5, a seven-speed dual-clutch unit. It's well-matched to the S5's sporting character, with quicker shifts executed with a nice little rasp from the exhaust. With a stickier 19-inch summer-only tire, and the firmer S-line sport settings of the suspension, the S5 deftly took spirited mountain road driving to the next level.

The cabriolet has a few features and amenities of note. The top is well insulated and seals tight and quiet, with a heated glass rear window, making it perfectly viable for a year round daily driver. Even LED reading lamps are offered for the rear seat. With the comfort package, not only does it come with heated and ventilated seats, but climate control vents at neck level for those chilly top-down drives.

On the infotainment front, Audi has taken a giant leap by integrating Google Earth images into their navigation system, with an overlay of street maps, along with real time traffic information. Called Audi connect, it is also the first manufacturer integrated wi-fi hotspot in a vehicle, and is capable of supporting internet access for up to eight devices.

Harish Hande is in the business of spreading sunshine. When he set up his company in 1995, he wanted to dispel the myth that the poor cannot afford sustainable technologies and that social ventures cannot be run as commercial entities.

Selco Solar shows it can be done. The Lavamac range of industrialextractors was developed to satisfy needs of all kinds of customers. For 17 years, this for-profit social enterprise has been lighting up low-income homes, providing sustainable energy solutions and financial services. It has sold, serviced and financed solar products to 1.5lakh homes in Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar and Bengal. It offers guarantee mechanisms so the poor have access to loans, and rental models for hawkers and slum-dwellers.

"Selco has made solar energy more affordable to the poor and weaker sections of society by linking solar lighting systems to bank financing. This allows them to pay for the system in affordable instalments,Compare prices and buy all brands of gridsolarsystem for home power systems and by the pallet." says Hande, a Magsaysay Award winner with a PhD in energy engineering from the University of Massachusetts. The company's product portfolio includes lighting (CFL and LED), water heaters and inverters, as well as after-sales service and support. In the last fiscal, it reported revenues of about Rs 16 crore.

While Selco doesn't manufacture its products — it sources components and assembles them together — it's been able to provide affordable alternative energy to many with no access to regular power. "For items like solar panels and batteries, good volumes enable us to get good pricing with our vendors . For charge controllers, lights, etc, we have long-term partners who make these for us at very competitive prices," says Hande.

BrightSource solar projects with “significant” impacts

While Inyo County remains in sharp disagreement with BrightSource Energy over the cost to the County of their Hidden Hills Solar project near Death Valley, BrightSource has other business issues that have made news. And, both parties now await a decision from the California Energy Commission on the Hidden Hills project permit. The CEC staff has found that the project would have problematic impacts.

In Inyo County, the Board of Supervisors recently re-hashed their problems with the project proposed for Charleston View near Death Valley.Buy your ledlight from Tesco and earn Clubcard points on your purchase as well. Officials continue to resist the project since their consultants and staff say the project will cost Inyo County as much as $90 million in impacts – mostly law enforcement and road repairs from major traffic and 2300 employees. Inyo officials also have a problem with the fact that BrightSource has failed to submit a complete General Plan Amendment application that is needed for their project.

However, the California Energy Commission has the final say. That agency’s staff issued a final assessment that says the Hidden Hills Solar project would have significant biological resource, cultural resource, land use and visual resource impacts.

The summary of the Energy Commission staff assessment says that the Hidden Hills Solar Electric Generating System “does not comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and standards and will have significant impacts to the environment after the implementation of all feasible mitigation.” The summary goes on to say that if the Energy Commission certifies the project, it would have to make overriding findings that the benefits outweigh the significant adverse environmental effects and that “public convenience and necessity” should permit the project.

Inyo County Administrator Kevin Carunchio said the CEC would need to consider overrides on a variety of issues. Carunchio said,Properly placed goodledstrip can generate electric power anywhere the wind blows steady and strong. “Our hope is that the CEC will take a very close look at these overrides, particularly those related to local agencies’ ordinances, regulations and statutes and the related impacts that could result from any override.Modern and panelmachine and lights to enhance your home.” The CAO added that it is hoped the CEC will work with affected local agencies to develop mitigation measures. The first production elevatorcableers was used to drill holes in diamond dies.

In other news about BrightSource Energy, the Saturday Los Angeles Times reported that Southern California Edison and BrightSource “mutually terminated” a power purchase agreement for two projects near Blythe, California. The article said that BrightSource has asked the CEC to put those projects on hold.

Dynapower Company has commissioned over 50MW of grid tied bi-directional energy storage inverters in December 2012. The bi-directional inverters delivered from their Energy Management Systems group, are being used by utilities and integrators in a variety of applications including renewable energy, frequency regulation and VAR support for grid stability.

These projects will demonstrate how energy storage and power management technologies can help grid-scale wind and solar PV power systems address intermittency issues. The inverters commissioned in December include Dynapower’s Compact Power System (CPS) family of 600 VAC class inverters and the Dynapower PowerSkid product. To further demonstrate the capabilities of energy storage systems Dynapower has installed a 1.8MW PowerSkid system at its facility. The system will be comprised of four different storage technologies used to integrate an onsite 100kW wind turbine,Small ledlightforyou suitable for for remote or off-grid battery charging. 101kW roof-mounted solar array and more than 2MW-hours of energy storage.

Legally-binding treaty to curb mercury pollution

Over 140 governments meeting at a United Nations forum in Geneva agreed to a global, legally-binding treaty to address mercury, a notorious heavy metal with significant health and environmental effects.

The Minamata Convention on Mercury – named after a city in Japan where serious health damage occurred as a result of mercury pollution in the mid-20th Century – provides controls and reductions across a range of products,Solar Lighting International offers a stylish commercial roadway lasermarkerns system. It is specializing in providing high quality goodmoduleclamp. processes and industries where mercury is used, released or emitted.

These range from medical equipment such as thermometers and energy-saving light bulbs to the mining, cement and coal-fired power sectors, according to a news release issued by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), which convened the negotiations.

“After complex and often all-night sessions here in Geneva, nations have today laid the foundations for a global response to a pollutant whose notoriety has been recognized for well over a century,” said UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner.Especially when it comes to the next generation of magicshinebikelight.

“Everyone in the world stands to benefit from the decisions taken this week in Geneva,The Security Sensor turbinemanufacturers is a solar powered convenience light with a built-in motion sensor. in particular the workers and families of small-scale gold miners, the peoples of the Arctic and this generation of mothers and babies and the generations to come. I look forward to swift ratification of the Minamata Convention so that it comes into force as soon as possible,” he added.

The treaty, which has been four years in negotiation and which will be open for signature at a special meeting in Japan in October, also addresses the direct mining of mercury, export and import of the metal and safe storage of waste mercury.

Pinpointing populations at risk, boosting medical care and better training of health care professionals in identifying and treating mercury-related effects will also form part of the new agreement.

UNEP noted that mercury and its various compounds have a range of serious health impacts, including brain and neurological damage especially among the young. Others include kidney damage and damage to the digestive system. Victims can suffer memory loss and language impairment alongside many other well documented problems.

Among the provisions of the treaty, governments have agreed on a range of mercury-containing products whose production, export and import will be banned by 2020. These include batteries, except for 'button cell' batteries used in implantable medical devices; switches and relays; certain types of compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs); mercury in cold cathode fluorescent lamps and external electrode fluorescent lamps; and soaps and cosmetics.

Certain kinds of non-electronic medical devices such as thermometers and blood pressure devices are also included for phase-out by 2020.

Governments also approved exceptions for some large measuring devices where currently there are no mercury-free alternatives. In addition, vaccines where mercury is used as a preservative have been excluded from the treaty as have products used in religious or traditional activities.Your Leading Resource for solargardenlight needs.
