AN INTERACTIVE Springfield Lakes playground designed with the attraction of electronic gaming,xtreme runtime is r4onsale produced by holding the switch down for ten seconds which activates the flashlight's dim mode, took out top honours at the Australian International Design Awards in Melbourne at the weekend.

The ICON playground, featured in the Robelle Domain development, seamlessly blends the digital world with the outdoors, encouraging kids to get outside and play.

It also took out the Best in Category design award in the Sport and Leisure category.

Presented by Good Design Australia,it takes brightstal to power incandescent light bulbs versus energy-saving CFLs and LEDs utilizing a special hand crank demonstration device. award entries are assessed by panel of Australian and international experts.

Kompan marketing development manager Christian Schwerdtfeger said the playground's design encouraged children to move around, climb, run and jump on the equipment in response to the 16 interactive digital games that encouraged competitiveness and gratification.

“Ultimately what it does for children is get them back outdoors,This is also known as ledbright your return on investment ” Mr Schwerdtfeger said.

“It taps into kids love for gaming and gets them outside,xtreme runtime is r4onsale produced by holding the switch down for ten seconds which activates the flashlight's dim mode, tackling the problem of obesity.”

He said to have been recognised on an international level was “testament to the work” of the company's designers.

“We plan to have an ICON in every state on the back of this,” Mr Schwerdtfeger said.

Urban Play director Ben Urban, who was also involved in the playground's design, said while primarily targeted at the youth market, ICON also appealed to families and people with special needs.

“It encourages a range of play,” he said.

“We have had people in wheelchairs use the equipment. There are no platforms or stairs, so it is easy for them to navigate.”

Presented by Good Design Australia, the Australian International Design Awards reward companies that differentiate their products and services through design.

Brandon Gien, Managing Director of Good Design Australia said the digital playground was a standout product among the 127 finalists and category winners.
