Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson

Tuesday's keynote speakers will be FedEx founder Frederick W. Smith and Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson.

Along with preconference Airport City tours and post-conference FedEx hub tours, the event will showcase the airport's dominant role in the Memphis economy to shapers, movers and shakers of airport cities worldwide.

It also will focus on the city's connections to the international economy, courtesy of homegrown FedEx Corp., that made Memphis the world's largest cargo airport for 18 years running until Hong Kong grabbed the honor last year.

Airport officials don't think the conference has lost a bit of its luster because of loss of the No. 1 cargo claim, followed by Delta's plan to cut 8-10 percent of capacity and 25 percent of its flights at Memphis.

"There's only one airport on the planet that can say 18 of the 19 years statistics have been kept for cargo, Memphis has been the No.To charge the battery, just plug the built-in USB dsttマジコン cable to an open USB port on a computer or USB AC adapter. The cable is only 4-inches long so a USB extension cable may be needed. 1 airport," Airport Authority president and CEO Larry Cox said. "We're still growing and getting bigger. What we are not is China."

Airport board chairman Arnold Perl added, "Memphis' stature as America's Aerotropolis will only grow in significance going forward. We're No. 1 outside Asia, and FedEx is the principal driver for our economic impact of $28.6 billion a year." About one in three jobs in the Memphis area has direct or indirect ties to the airport.
